Lindö School is beautifully situated almost in the city center. We have walking distance to the sea, the city center, and the fantastic nature. Lindö School has approximately 340 students from preschool to grade 6. Grades F-3 are located at Lindövägen, while grades 4-6 are located at Gröndalsvägen.

If a student needs more support than what the regular school can offer, there are municipality-wide special education groups with specific expertise. The special education groups are placed in schools throughout the municipality, and this fall another group for preschool to grade 3 and after-school care will start, located at Lindö School.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leisure educator in the municipality-wide special education group (KSU), you will be responsible for teaching alongside other teachers in the group. In addition to having an important role during the students' school day, you will also be responsible for teaching and the pedagogical work in after-school care. You will plan, implement, evaluate, and document the activities with a focus on the students' learning, safety, and well-being.

The role includes close contact with guardians and other partners to meet the individual needs of the students. In your work, you will have access to a work team and student health services at the school. Continuous guidance from central student health services is included as support in the role. At the start, all staff will receive basic training, and thereafter continuous professional development will be provided tailored to the needs of the groups. There is ongoing collaboration between the municipality-wide special education groups to constantly develop the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher for after-school care. We prefer that you are qualified to teach in a subject, such as sports and health. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations. You take responsibility for tasks and can organize and prioritize them. You easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are calm, attentive, and responsive in your interactions and have the ability to recognize and embrace differences. We also prefer that you have good knowledge of and experience in working with NPF pedagogy.

You can and want to work with other people and see teamwork as a given. You can create participation and consensus around the activities. As a colleague, you bring enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work. You have the ability to see the activities and the student from a holistic perspective. A police record extract must be presented before employment.

OTHER

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is employed. This means that you, as an applicant, need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permit.

As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and are expected to contribute with your work during heightened preparedness.
